Privacy policy

The short version
- Everything you type into Posso stays on your phone: your money, pay, bills, goals, goal photos and check-ins. There is no Posso account and no Posso server, so we can't see your numbers.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no AI reads your data.
- You can export or delete your data in Settings at any time. Deleting the app deletes it too.
Who is responsible

What stays on your phone
Posso saves what you enter in the app's own storage on your iPhone. It is never sent to us. If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, the backup can include Posso's data; that backup is between you and Apple.
When you export, Posso creates a file and your phone's share sheet lets you choose where it goes. From then on the file is in your hands.
When data leaves your phone
- App Store (Apple). You download Posso, and buy Premium if you want it, through Apple. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card or your Apple Account. Apple's privacy policy applies. If you allowed "Share With App Developers" on your iPhone, Apple sends us crash reports and anonymous usage statistics.
- Premium (RevenueCat). If you buy Premium, the app checks your subscription through RevenueCat, Inc. (USA). RevenueCat receives a random ID made by the app (not your name or email), your purchase and subscription details from Apple, and technical details such as app version, device type, country and IP address. We use this only to know whether you have Premium. Nothing you type into Posso is sent.
- Support email. If you write to support@getposso.com, we receive your email address and your message. The mailbox is hosted by Apple (iCloud Mail). We use it only to answer you.
- TestFlight. If you test an early version through Apple's TestFlight, Apple shares with us the email address or name you were invited with, the feedback and screenshots you send, and crash reports.
- This website. getposso.com is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA), which processes your IP address and browser details to show the page and protect it from attacks. The website sets no cookies and uses no analytics.
Why we may do this
Under the GDPR: to give you the app and Premium you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interest in answering support, keeping the app and website secure and fixing crashes (Art. 6(1)(f)). Under the FADP we process data only for these same purposes.
Other countries
Apple, RevenueCat and Cloudflare may process data in the USA and other countries. Transfers rely on the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the company is certified, otherwise on the EU standard contractual clauses.
How long
- On your phone: until you delete it in Settings or delete the app.
- Support emails: deleted at the latest 12 months after your last message.
- Premium records at RevenueCat: as long as you have Premium and as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask which data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, get it in a common file format, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and have it restricted. Because your Posso data is only on your phone, you do most of this yourself: Settings → Your data → Export your data, and Settings → Start over → Delete all my data on this device. For anything else, write to support@getposso.com.
You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), in the EU the authority of your country.
Changes
If we change how Posso handles data, we update this page and its date before the change takes effect.
